Child Safeguarding Statement
Last Updated: 17th June 2026
1. Our Commitment
The Provider, Julien Porzadny, operating through the website myfrenchteacher.ie, is committed to the safety and well-being of all students. The Provider recognises that the welfare of children is paramount and that all children have a right to be protected from harm. This statement has been developed in line with the requirements under the Children First Act 2015, Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children (2017), and Tusla’s Child Safeguarding: A Guide for Policy, Procedure and Practice.
2. Nature of Service
The Provider delivers freelance French language tuition to primary and secondary school students, as well as adult learners. Services include one-to-one private tuition (online and face-to-face) and group workshops for schools. The goal of the Provider is to ensure a safe, inclusive, and high-quality educational environment.
3. Digital Classroom: Code of Conduct
To ensure a safe, positive, and professional learning environment, all students (minors and adults) are expected to adhere to the following Code of Conduct:
- Be respectful: All comments, posts, and interactions must be kind, professional, and relevant to French studies. Bullying, discriminatory language, or harassment will not be tolerated.
- Keep it educational: Google Classroom and all learning platforms are for course-related discussion only. Please refrain from sharing personal information, images, or off-topic links.
- Stay professional: Treat the digital space as you would a physical classroom. Use appropriate language and tone at all times.
- Respect privacy: Do not share login credentials with anyone else. Respect the privacy of fellow students; information shared during sessions or in the classroom must remain confidential.
- Report concerns: If any content is seen that makes a student feel uncomfortable or violates these rules, it must be reported to the Provider immediately via email.
